Total Phosphates Content for Cleaning Products
Phosphates in cleaning products bring environmental impact when cleaning products containing phosphates are discharged into aquatic systems. This test determines the phosphates content in cleaning products.
How do phosphates affect the environment?
Phosphates provide a favorable environment to algae for growth rapidly. A rapid growth of algae eventually prevents sunlight and oxygen from entering the aquatic system, leading to the death of aquatic organisms. Phosphates content is restricted in cleaning products in leading markets.
What SGS can help?
The test is conducted by in-house method with reference to ASTM D820.
