Microbial Contamination Test for Cosmetic Products
Preventing a cosmetic product from harmful microorganisms contamination is crucial to ensure safety and quality of a cosmetic product. This test determines the hygiene quality of a cosmetic product, evaluating any contamination by harmful microorganisms.
During manufacturing process, contamination is possible from raw materials, production process, production environment, packaging process, and storage conditions. Microbiological testing hence is understood as an important part of hygiene quality control.
In microbiological testing, the product will be evaluated by measuring the total aerobic microbial count, yeast and mold count, and the number of harmful pathogens.
