Disinfection (Bactericidal Efficacy) Test for Hand Hygiene Product

This test evaluates the disinfection efficacy of a hand hygiene product against bacteria. It also helps support a product claim with disinfection function, for example, 'antibacterial' and 'killing bacteria up to a certain percentage'.

What is EN 1276?

EN 1276 is a test standard to evaluate the disinfection efficacy of a product against bacteria. It is applicable to products used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas.

How is the test conducted?

The test is conducted with reference to EN 1276-2019 with validation of neutralization method.
