Textile Exchange Standards Certification - Recycle Material (GRS / RCS)
SGS, an accredited body for Textile Exchange in China, offers certification services for manufacturers and retailers using recycled materials under the Content Claim Standard (CCS), Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), and Global Recycled Standard (GRS). This ensures accurate recycled content in final products.
What is recycled material in the textile industry?
According to ISO 14021, recycled material means material that has been reprocessed from recovered material by means of a manufacturing process and made into a final product or into a component for incorporation into a product. In the textile industry, polyester, nylon, cotton, wool and down are common recycled materials in textiles; plastic, rubber, EVA, textile fabrics, artificial leather or synthetic leather, and natural leather are common recycled materials in footwear.
