Service Scope

Currently, 70 countries have approved or have 6 GHz regulations under their consideration.

In April 2022, the new HKCA 1081 Issue 1 (For Wi-Fi 6E) was released, which stipulates that for both RF and Safety tests (EN 303 687 and EN/IEC 62368-1) are requested to demonstrate compliance to this new specification.

Authorized as a Local Certification Body (LCB) under Hong Kong Telecommunication equipment Evaluation and Certification (HKTEC) Scheme by the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) under ISO/IEC 17065, SGS Hong Kong Ltd has been accredited to carry out the certification of equipment covered by HKCA 1081 (Issue 1) under the LCB Scheme as specified in the information note OFCA I 426 (Issue 5).

Test Plan

Sample Size:

For EN 303 687: 1 pc normal sample + 1 set engineering sample

For EN/IEC 62368-1: 3 pc normal sample

Turnaround Time:

20 Working days + 10 working days for OFCA Certification

Test Standard:

EN 303 687 and EN/IEC 62368-1

Remarks

Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. A detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase. 

Turnaround time (TAT) and service price are subjected to the content specified in the service scope and feature. Failure to provide test-ready samples or application documents would cause a longer period of TAT. TAT is subjected to the successful receipt of all necessary ready-for-testing samples and other materials (if any).
