SLCP - The Social and Labor Convergence Program
The Social and Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) aims at implementing a converged assessment framework that supports stakeholders’ efforts to improve working conditions in global supply chains. It is to replace current proprietary tools and in turn eliminate audit fatigue by avoiding duplications and reducing the number of social & labor audits. As an approved Verified Body to the SLCP Verification, SGS’s professionals are qualified to conduct assessment and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected through accuracy of the data collected through self/joint assessment of facilities, using the Converged Assessment Framework.

Order process
Q1. What’s the difference between SLCP and other social compliance audits?
SLCP converged assessment framework will:
- Collect compliance and performance information from production facilities
- Employ a robust verification process
- Facilitate operation (data hosting & sharing)
SLCP converged assessment framework will NOT:
- Set minimum requirements
- Be a scoring/ranking system, certification program or Code of Conduct
- Instead, it will be compatible with existing systems
Q2. What are the processes for a SLCP verification?
- Self-assessment
- Verification

Q3. What kind of fees will be charged for SLCP verification?
The SLCP related resources and gateway are free of charge. Below 3 parts of fees will be included:
- Onsite verification fee (determined and charged by verification firm)
- SLCP administration fee (USD300 per verification charged by SLCP)
- Accredited host fee (determined and charged by accredited host)
Q4. What shall be paid attention to submit the self-assessment?
The self-assessment must be completed in English; and the completion rate shall be at least 95%.
Q5. Does the self-assessment have any offline version or have to be completed online?
There is offline excel version for self-assessment data collection tool, which can be exported from accredited host. The offline data collection tool needs to be imported to accredited host after completion. It’s suggested to complete the online self-assessment or export/import offline tool under stable internet connection.
