Service Scope

Toy safety is highly concerned in the market. Toy safety  testing is the practice of ensuring that toys, especially those made for children, are safe, usually through the application of set safety standards. In many countries, commercial toys must be able to pass safety tests in order to be sold.

Test Description

ASTM F963 American (US) standard 

  • Physical and mechanical
  • Flammability
  • 8 Soluble heavy metal & total lead content
  • Stuffing cleanliness 
  • Tracking label
  • Battery operated toys requirement (for electrical toys only)

European (EU) standard  

  • EN 71-1 Physical and mechanical testing
  • EN 71-2 Flammability
  • EN 71-3 Migration of certain elements (soluble heavy metal)

For electrical toys in EU, additional testing like EMC, WEEE logo, RoHS , EN 62115 & EN 62471 (if contain LED) will be performed for compliance according to regulation. 

EU REACH and Restricted substance regulation

Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. A detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase. If the battery is included, additional battery requirements shall be arranged.
