Service Scope
In most households, extremely low frequency electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) are generated mostly by household appliances and electric house installations.
Appliances with high electrical power consumption used for heating (e.g. electric cooker, electric heating, washing machine, electric water heater, and iron) usually emit a higher level.
EMSD has published a guideline, The Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) Safety Standards for Household Electrical Products, to ensure household electrical products for sale in Hong Kong must conform to the latest requirements of the applicable International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standards (or other equivalent international standards such as European Community (EU) safety standards)
To assess the potential risks, we conduct on-site electromagnetic field monitoring. We provide a comprehensive report including monitoring analysis and specific recommendations to meet any regulatory requirements at your site.

Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. A detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase.
Turnaround time (TAT) and service price are subjected to the content specified in the service scope and feature. Failure to provide test-ready samples or application documents would cause a longer period of TAT. TAT is subjected to the successful receipt of all necessary ready-for-testing samples and other materials (if any).
