Moisturization Efficacy for Cosmetic Product
Verifying efficacy claims becomes important to confirm whether a product provides true information with scientific support and does not mislead consumers. This clinical study evaluates the moisturization efficacy of a cosmetic product by clinical instruments with a group of subjects.
Cosmetic products are marketed with different types of claims to highlight their functions and stand out in the market. On the other hand, consumers have expectations for the products to effectively deliver their claimed functions. Failing to meet these expectations will disappoint the users and devalue the product brand.
What SGS can help?
Many consumers are looking for a good skin moisturizer. With clinical sites in SGS, we can help verify the hydration efficacy of cosmetic products in a scientific way, supporting product claims such as 'an effective moisturizer', 'instant moisturizing', 'provides up to XX hours of moisturization', etc.

How is the test conducted?
A group of subjects will be recruited for this study. A test sample will be applied on skin (for example, forearm or cheek) as agreed in the study protocol. Hydration level of the test site will be evaluated by specific clinical instrument at agreed time point, for example, before product application, as well as 1hr and 3hr after product application. A statistical evaluation and conclusion will be given.
