Service Scope
In recent years, the volume of sales of hot water bottle has continued to increase, indicating that the community perceives the benefits from hot water bottles and that there is no other real direct substitute product. In consequence, it is likely to lead to an increase in burns, although around half of accidents with hot water bottles are the result of improper filling or care, at least half were the result of spontaneous bursting.
In the EU, the requirements of BS 1970 are related to the composition, physical properties, closures, performance and marking of hot water bottles.
In the US, although there is no specific standard in hot water bottles, testing BS 1970 is considered a safety reference and such products shall comply with chemical requirements according to California proposition 65. (CA Prop 65)
The test will be conducted in compliance with the following standards

- SCCP
- REACH PAH
- Cadmium
- Phthalates
- BPA content
- Prop 65 court case (US California) standard
- BS 1970:2012 (EU) standard

Test Description
There are specific standards required to be tested for compliance in the US and EU markets. Therefore, the following tests will be included according to the US / EU market test package.
