Service Scope
The Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Ordinance, Cap. 598, was published in the Gazette on 9 May 2008 where a prescribed product being supplied by a manufacturer or importer shall be a listed model having a reference number assigned in his name by the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and bears an energy label that complies with the specified requirement.
This service will help to detect the energy efficiency and performance characteristics of televisions in accordance with this Ordinance.

Test Standard:
In accordance with IEC 62087, IEC 62301 or other equivalent international standards approved as mentioned in Clause 12.3 (page 85) of EMSD’s Code of Practice on Energy Labelling of Products 2020.
Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. A detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase.
Turnaround time (TAT) and service price are subjected to the content specified in the service scope and feature. Failure to provide test-ready samples or application documents would cause a longer period of TAT. TAT is subjected to the successful receipt of all necessary ready-for-testing samples and other materials (if any)
